BSc Biology

The module Genetik (2401-210) is obligatory for the basic studies of Biology. You can major in Genetics during the third year (5./6. FS) or take advanced courses in Molecular Genetics and Virology as elective subject. In general, teaching language is German.

Higher Education studies

The studies are composed of a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education.

At the University of Hohenheim you can study Biology for teaching higher school grades (i.e. Gymnasium); the other subjects may be choosen from the neighbouring Universities like Stuttgart or Tübungen.

The courses are given in German language.

MSc Biology

Three different Genetics courses can be choosen, the module Functional Genomics, the module Cell-cell communication, and the module Developmental Genetics.

In general, the courses are given in German language.

 

MSc study programmes in natural Sciences

In case of free places, the Genetics courses can be taken by students of other study programmes in the natural Sciences as elective subject.

Doctoral candicates already accepted by the Faculty of Natural Sciences can acquire additional qualifications in the Doctoral study progamme.

The catalogue of modules covering 30 ECTS is determined in advance of admission with the supervisor. Participation at Summer-Schools and inter/national meetings is expected
